12th AGRO ARCA Was Successfully Held in Prelog Croatia
AGRO ARCA 2021 Report
The 12th International Fair of Innovations in Agriculture, Food Industry and Agricultural mechanization AGRO ARCA 2021, organized by the Union of Croatian Innovators (UCI), was held in the City of Prelog from July 2 to 4, 2021.
This year AGRO ARCA was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Education and Ministry of Agriculture, with co-organizers being the City of Prelog, the Croatian Association of Technical Culture, and IFIA the International Federation of Associations of Innovators (IFIA).
AGRO ARCA was supported by the following sponsors: HS Produkt and TEHNIX d.o.o., and partners: the State Intellectual Property Office, HAMAG-BICRO (Croatian Agency for SMEs) , HGK (Croatian Chamber of the economy), Belica municipality, Gorican municipality and Medjmurje county.
AGRO ARCA traditionally pays special attention to innovations in all activities related to the agriculture and food processing industries from the fields to the food market, focused on sustainable, environmentally friendly, and energy-efficient production and workflows.
The fair gathered about a hundred exhibitors from 12 countries (the Republic of Iraq, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Northern Macedonia, the Republic of Poland, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Serbia, the Republic of Slovenia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Yemen, the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka) and a number of predominantly local family-owned agricultural companies and farms.
As part of this year’s AGRO ARCA, numerous workshops and forums took place. The key forum was focused on “Digitalization in Agriculture” and “Intellectual Property Protection”, and three workshops were held, dedicated specifically to youth: “Development of devices for measuring temperature and humidity”, “Wireless transmission of electrical energy ” and a workshop for the youngest visitors „Painting garden aprons”
At the opening ceremony, exhibitors were greeted by prof. dr. sc. Miljenko Simpraga, President of UCI, Darko Horvat, Minister of Physical Planning, Construction and State Property, and the Member of Parliament and Mayor of the City of Prelog Ljubomir Kolarek.
The State Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture and envoy of the Prime Minister, Zdravko Tušek, officially opened AGRO ARCA 2021,
“We strongly believe that the number of exhibitors from a hundred today will climb further next year, since in the best of days AGRO ARCA was known for gathering 300+ of them”, underlined the UCI President Miljenko Simpraga at the opening address.
