connected to the IWIS – International Warsaw Inventions Show Venue: Main Building of University of Technology, Warsaw Introduction The chemistry is a creative science essential for sustainability and improvements to our way of life. The majority of the patented inventions are connected the chemistry as the protection of new chemical materials and processes. For this reason the obligation of the SPWiR and the IFIA is connecting to the series of IWIS events to show the creativity in the chemistry by organization of the Second World Competition of Chemical Inventions in Warsaw again. Chemical inventions Chemical inventions are technical creations in the field of chemistry. The International Patent Classification (IPC), established by the Strasbourg Agreement 1971, provides for a hierarchical system for the classification of patented inventions according to the different areas of technology to which they pertain. The Section C refers to the chemical inventions. World Competition of Chemical Inventions The World Competition of Chemical Inventions is introduction, evaluation forum and market palace of the chemical inventions organized by the SPWiR and the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations – IFIA and hosted by the International Warsaw Inventions Show – IWIS, Warsaw (8-10 October 2013) organized by Michal Szota, the President of SPWiR. Participants The participant 34 chemical inventions, according to IPC Section C, had been presented on the IWIS from 7 countries. The IFIA participants got 2 sqm booth free of charge.
Evaluation and prizes IFIA Chemical Jury evaluated the registered chemical inventions on 9 October. The Chemical Inventions’ Award Ceremony was organized on 10 October at noon – IWIS Hall.
