About Academy
The Academy of Applied Technical Studies Belgrade (AATSB) was established by Decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia as of August 29, 2019.
By the decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, a new higher education institution was established by merging four higher schools of applied studies with decades of experience in education, namely:
College of applied studies – Belgrade Polytechnic from Belgrade,
Technical College of Applied Studies from Belgrade,
College of Engineering Applied Studies – Tehnikum Taurunum from Belgrade,
Technical College of Applied Studies from Požarevac.
Today, the Academy consists of four sections:
Belgrade Polytechnic Section,
Computer-Mechanical Engineering Section,
Section of Traffic, Mechanical Engineering and Safety Engineering,
Applied Engineering Sciences Section.
In carrying out its activities, the Academy combines educational, applied-research work as part of a unique process of higher education. The activity of the Academy is the realization of higher education through applied studies of the first and second degree, within the framework of accredited study programs. As part of its activity, the Academy can implement lifelong learning programs, outside the framework of study programs, as well as other activities that commercialize the results of professional, scientific, research and artistic work, provided that these activities do not compromise the quality of education.

GOALS AND TASKS
Development and creation of study programs, which means that we assume responsibility for the quality of education.
The freedom to choose the method of interpretation of teaching content, which means that the teaching staff takes responsibility for the comprehension of the material, the acquisition of knowledge and competencies of the students.
More time in interactive work with students – we apply the concept of “student at the center of learning”.
The student is obliged to fulfill class and pre-exam obligations.
Constant improvement of study effectiveness and efficiency.
Correct treatment and respect in relations with students.
Support for student participation in raising the quality of the educational process.
Cooperation with employers, companies and public sector in order to improve the relevance of study programs at the national level.
Pursuit of applicable knowledge and skills.
Internationalization of the Academy, mobility of students, teachers and non-teaching staff and participation in international projects.
Teaching is the activity of the utmost priority.
The Day of the Academy of Technical Applied Studies is November 29.
The Academy organizes and conducts applied studies, which, in accordance with the Law, equip students for the application of knowledge and skills needed for direct involvement in the work process.
The Academy is a member of the Conference of Academies and Colleges of Serbia.
