Mr. Hakan Bayram is attending a Ph.D. Program in Industrial Technology Department of Gazi University. He has been working in the Turkish Patent Institute as a Patent Expert since 1997. First 7 years in the Patent Department of TPI, main responsibility was handling patent and utility model application granting procedures. He was also the main coordinator between European Patent Office (EPO) and the Turkish Patent Institute. During this job, he implemented many projects under bilateral and multilateral cooperation on patent and IP information products and services as well as European Commission projects. He is also EPO Member of EPO Information Technologies and Patent Law Committees. He has many education certificates on patents from EPO, WIPO and some other foreign patent offices. Since 2004 he has been working in the Innovation and Promotion Directorate of Information Department in TPI. In this department, his main responsibilities are the dissemination of intellectual property knowledge and rising IP awareness in Turkey. During this job, he implemented many projects and gave lectures on IP for SMEs, R&D centers, governmental institutions, industry chambers and companies in Turkey. He is the founder of Anatolia Inventors and Inventions Association (ABDER) which is a full member of IFIA. He is a jury member of the Istanbul International Inventions Fair (ISIF). He is also court expert in IP Cases for 15 years. He is married with one child and has good English knowledge.
