Bhutanese Delegation Explores India's Dynamic Innovation Ecosystem and Forges Collaborations in Startup Frontiers
A delegation representing the Youth Development Fund-Bhutan (YDF-Bhutan) and the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations Bhutan (IFIA Bhutan) recently concluded a successful visit to India, with a primary focus on gaining valuable insights into the nation’s innovation, startup, and funding landscapes.
Led by Ms. Dorji Ohm, Executive Director of BYDF, and Kinley Tenzin from BYDF & IFIA Bhutan, the Bhutanese delegation conducted an in-depth exploration of India’s vibrant innovation hubs. Key institutions visited included the Atal Incubation Centre at Sri Krishnadevaraya University (AIC-SKU) in Ananthapur and the IFIA Bharat, with engagements extending to various enterprises and startups throughout their tour.
A notable highlight was a networking meeting hosted by Mr. Naveen Lakkur, a renowned speaker and innovation coach, on behalf of the Institute of Inspired Learning in Bangalore. Attended by key figures from the investment community, The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE), and industry experts, the event provided a platform for insightful discussions and knowledge exchange.
The diverse group, including representatives from both the Bhutanese and Indian delegations, fostered an environment conducive to networking, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas.
Dr. INV. Shiva Kiran Makam, CEO of AIC-SKU and IFIA Bharat, played a pivotal role in facilitating the visit, ensuring the Bhutanese delegation had access to key players in India’s innovation ecosystem. Dr. Makam expressed optimism about potential collaborations between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of cross-border partnerships in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.
