A video conference was held between IFIA members
Due to the recent worldwide crises, the Coronavirus, every organization had to postpone their events to keep everyone safe. But since IFIA is a dynamic organization, we had to keep going and with a slight change, continue our meetings.
At the initiative of KIPA (Korea Invention Promotion Association), a Full Member of IFIA (The International Federation of Inventors’ Associations) in South Korea, a meeting was held on April 22 to discuss ways out of the problems caused by the Coronavirus.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Alireza Rastegar, the President of IFIA, and Mr. Joonho Koh, the President of KIPA, welcomed the participants at the meeting and thanked them for participating.
Mr. Joonho Koh explained to the members the KIPA activities carried out during this period and also described how The Seoul Innovation Event will be held in November 2020. Also, Mr. Rastegar said that IFIA would provide more support to member countries and innovators during this situation.
At the conference, each member explained the situation in their country and provided solutions to further support the inventors. Plus, ways to hold future innovation events and working with IFIA organizers and member states were discussed by the participants. They also discussed The proposal to form a union of organizers at the meeting so that members could further study the formation of this union in their institutions.
