IFIA & WIPO International Symposium 1992
IFIA WIPO International Symposium 1992 on Support to Inventors was held from March 30 to April 3, 1992 in Geneva, WIPO headquarters. It was jointly organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA).
It was opened by Deputy Director General of WIPO, Mr. Shahid Alikhan and IFIA President, Dr. Farag Moussa. The main objective of this event was to discuss various services offered to inventors by industrial Property offices, innovation centers and universities in various countries.
There were 91 participants from 41 countries. The participants were the representatives of government and industrial property offices, representatives of inventors’ associations, innovation centers, universities and entrepreneurs.
The symposium examined two main topics:
- Role of industrial Property offices in support of Inventors
- Role of innovation centers and universities in support of inventors
Furthermore, WIPO and IFIA presented information on their activities in support of inventors
