A Group of Iranian Inventors Participated in Two Special Seminars in Innovation, Coordinated by IFIA and WIPO.
On March 17th, 2022, in Geneva, Switzerland, a group of Iranian inventors was invited to participate in a Workshop on WIPO Arbitration and Mediation (ADR) Services and the Inventor Assistance Program (IAP) organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
At first, Mr. Enayet Mowla, the Senior Counsellor at the Office of the Assistant Director-General and the IP and Innovation Ecosystems Sector (IES) of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), said the opening remarks.
Then, Mr. Mahmoud Esfahani Nejad, the Counsellor at the Division for Asia and the Pacific Region of the Regional and National Development Sector (RNDS) of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), welcomed the inventors and congratulated them on being one of the few people with the chance to participate in this workshop.
After that, Mr. Leandro Toscano, Head of the Business Development Unit of IP Disputes and External Relations Division of WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, IES, presented his lecture on “How to Resolve IP and Innovation Disputes Using WIPO Mediation and Arbitration.”
After the Q&A regarding the first presentation, Mr. Evgeniy Sesitsky, the Legal Officer of the IP Commercialization Section of IP for Business Division (IPBD) of IES, made his speech on “the Introduction to the Inventor Assistance Program (IAP),” after which there was a Questions and Answers section dedicated to it.
Lastly, the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations thanks the World Intellectual Property Organization, especially Mr. Marco Alemán, Assistant Director General for coordinating this event for the Iranian inventors. We hope to see and participate in more of these kinds of seminars.
