IPITEX 2024 Was Successfully Held in Bangkok, Thailand
The 25th Thailand Inventors’ Day theme for “Inventions and Innovations Lead the Country” organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation was completed successfully with more than 20,000 visitors, 1,500 inventions and innovations from both local Thai inventors and over 500 inventions and innovations from Asian and European countries.
Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, graciously presided over the official opening ceremony of the Thailand Inventors’ Day 2024 on February 2nd, 2024 at BITEC Bangna, Bangkok, and bestowed the National Research Awards to recipients during the ceremony. The event is held to commemorate historical events and the royal patronage of Thai inventions. His Majesty also granted the ” Chaipattana Low-Speed Surface Aerator” invention patent, a device for adding nutrients to slow-moving water surfaces, in honor of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, the Father of Thai Inventions, along with showcasing exhibitions of works in research and innovation in various fields such as agriculture, medicine, quality of life, and elderly society. Additionally, there were exhibitions from youth inventors’ competitions; secondary school, vocational schools, and higher education, with over 600 inventions for the Thailand New Gen Inventors Award 2024.
In the afternoon of the same day, Ms. Supamas Isarabhakdi, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, delivered the keynote speech on “Research and Innovation as the Foundation for Sustainable Development Country” during the opening ceremony of Thailand Inventors’ Day 2024. Additionally, Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of the National Research Council of Thailand, delivered a welcoming speech, accompanied by a congratulatory speech from Mr. Alireza Rastegar, President of the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA). Moreover, Mr. Permsuk Sutchaphiwat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, along with ministry executives and network organization executives, graced the ceremony with their presence.
