ISIF Young Inventors

One of the major highlights of Istanbul International Invention Fair 2016 was the strong attendance of young inventors and innovators in this event. Their participation certainly led to the further prominence of ISIF and created an energetic and enabling environment, as well. The most interesting point about their invention was their creativity in converting waste materials into the innovative eco-friendly or green solutions for eradicating the existing problems.

For instance, to avoid the high consumption of water in agriculture, water pollution and flood, the students of SM SAINS TUANKU SYED PUTRA school of Malaysia invented “Hydro Fertilizer” which is derived from disposable diapers and daily organic foods.

In another case, the students of Sekolah Berasrama Penuh Integrasi Rawang School presented an invention titled Inorganic Neutralizer and Heavy Metal Absorbent for “Turning the Waste into Wealth”. They promoted Cockle shell waste as a novel neutralizer and heavy metal adsorbent for wastewater treatment to be applied in sewage treatment, factory treatment and industrial wastewater treatment.

The use of coconut fiber and soursop leaves for making laminate flooring, the reduction of the amount of carbon monoxide by the use of spider plant, utilizing M.L.X for absorbing oil and removing pungent smell were among the solutions for waste management.
