Award and five medals for Lebanon at the INVENTIONS VS CORONA online Contest
Lebanon won an award and five medals at the INVENTIONS VS CORONA Exhibition, which was organized online in June 2020, sponsored and supervised by the International Federation of Inventors Associations – IFIA, located in Geneva, Switzerland.
This year’s version of the exhibition took place remotely and was dedicated to presenting and discussing projects of inventions related to confronting the Coronavirus and limiting its spread. 208 projects and nine of them were Lebanese. After evaluating the submitted projects, the exhibition Committee announced the final results and submitted the prizes and certificates online by July 6, 2020.
Emad Aji won the IFA Grand Prize for his invention “ECOLOO Sustainable Sanitation Solution that saves lives, water, energy, and the environment!”, Raefa Jumaa Won the first gold medal for her invention “Wireless Social Distance Meter”, Asma Sarhan won the second gold medal for her invention “Salamati”. Nabil Aqil won the first silver medal for his invention “The unattended Electronic thermometer” Moussa Swaidan won the second silver medal for his invention “Robot Guard Protecting kids and Elderly People to Face Corona Virus.” Ali Faraj won the bronze medal for his invention “Faraj Complex Ventilator Project”.
The National Association for Science and Research which is the focal point of IFIA in the Middle East congratulates all winners and wishes them continued success and brilliance.
