IFIA members and IFIA Inv titleholders can join at MIT’s Solve challenges as a reviewer

IFIA members and IFIA Inv titleholders can join as at MIT solve challenges to select winners of global challenges who will receive $ 1.7 million found. We’re excited that IFIA members will be select the most promising tech innovators from around the world.

This is an opportunity that can be considered as an important resume for the IFIA members and IFIA Inv. titleholders who are selected for this judging.

By selecting as MIT’s Solve reviewer, MIT may also reach out to her/his to review solutions in future years.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

1-Be a member of IFIA or hold the Inv. title of IFIA.
2-Familiarity with reading and writing English.
3-Having enough experience and expertise in the field of innovation.

IFIA Members:

For this purpose, each IFIA member can nominate one person to the IFIA office and we immediately review those requests, and if they approve by IFIA office we send the registration form for the MIT Solve Reviewers to the nominee.

IFIA’s Inv. titleholders

For this purpose, we immediately review those requests, and if they approve by IFIA office we send the registration form for the MIT Solve Reviewers to the Inv. titleholders.

Judging time:

The review period for Solve’s 2020 Global Challenge submissions is July 3-13, 2020, and MIT anticipates a 2-3 hour time commitment to review solutions during that period. All solution reviews are completed online.

The deadline for registration as a judge is June 24, so IFIA members must nominate their candidate to the IFIA office by June 22. This date also applies to Inv titleholders.

Tech-based solutions sought for challenges in work environments, education for girls and women, maternal and newborn health, and sustainable food.

SOLVE’s 2020 Global Challenges which is rewarded with over $1.7 million in funding, and the solutions have to be applied by June 18 are as followed:

• How can marginalized populations access and create good jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities for themselves?
• How can communities around the world prepare for, detect, and respond to emerging pandemics and health security threats?
• How can marginalized girls and young women access quality learning opportunities to succeed?
• How can every woman, new mother, and newborn access the care they need to survive and thrive?
• How can we produce and consume low-carbon, resilient, and nutritious food?

Finalists will be invited to attend Solve Challenge Finals on Sept. 20 in New York City during U.N. General Assembly week. At the event, they will pitch their solutions to Solve’s Challenge Leadership Groups, judging panels comprised of industry leaders and MIT faculty. The judges will select the most promising solutions as Solver teams.
