The 10th INNOVACITIES Successfully Held in Brazil
Expectations for the 10th INNOVACITIES – International Fair of Applied Sciences, Inventions, Innovation and Business have been overcome. Success was the synthesis in all aspects in the main event of technological innovation of the West of Paraná.
The 10th INNOVACITIES was held in conjunction with the 1st TECHNOVAÇÃO – Municipal Innovation Fair of the municipality of Cascavel, at the Convention Center, from May 17 to 20, in the State of Paraná, Brazil.
ABIPIR accepted an invitation for technical cooperation with FUNDETEC – Foundation for Scientific and Technological Development, an organ linked to the municipal government of Cascavel because there was in fact the prioritization of its Mayor, Mr. Leonaldo Paranhos (management 2017-2020), to consolidate Cascavel as an innovative city, from Technology and Education in the western region of Paraná. Aiming at the work of ABIPIR since 2011, acting at national and international level on the fronts that foster and promote territorial development through innovation and education.
The 10 INNOVACITIES awards were awarded in 9 categories: 12 institutions, 23 projects and 49 researchers and entrepreneurs, including the delivery of the innovative Consciousness Trophy for the Brazilian Social Scientist Moema Viezzer, for his extraordinary biography of social achievements for humanity, and the Alireza Rastegar Trophy for young innovative researchers from the Federal Institute of Paraná (IFPR), André Luiz Dengo and Samuel Neitzke Pontes, for the invention “Searching for Low-Cost Technological Solutions for Regional Development: The Case of Intelligent Bird Ventilation and Illumination”, a feeding system automatic for poultry that avoids the stress caused by conventional technologies, resulting in higher productivity at low cost for the small producer.
Students, academics, scientists, inventors, entrepreneurs, investors, startups and the community at large were able to get to know the innovative thinking of specialists and researchers, disruptive thinkers and visionaries, and create and increase their networks, regional and interact with more than 60 simultaneous attractions for all ages and public, during the four days of the event.
