35th International Exhibition of Inventions in Belgrade
The 35th International Exhibition of Inventions, New Technologies, and Industrial Design along with “Nation Cup of Young Innovators” started on Monday 7th of May 2018, with the presence of numerous exhibitors from 20 countries convened in the Gallery of Air Force house in Belgrade, Serbia.
This event, which lasted until Friday 11th of May, was inaugurated by the president of Belgrade Association of Inventors, Mr. Djuro Borak, the Polytechnic of Belgrade University, and IFIA Representative, Mr. Masoud Tajbakhsh. Many inventions from European and Asian countries were gathered in the event and a great attraction of visitors from outside the competition was witnessed.
Mr. Masoud Tajbakhsh delivered a speech on behalf of IFIA President about the importance of disseminating the culture of invention and innovation and IFIA’s 50th anniversary. Meanwhile, he awarded IFIA’s 50-anniversary logo to Mr. Djuro Borak in order to appreciate his long-lasting cooperation with IFIA.
IFIA’s Best Invention Medal was granted to Prof. Dr. Djuro Koruga from Serbia for his innovation titled “Bioptron HP: Nano Photonic Hyperpolarized Light”.
Progress in medicine, both in diagnosis and in therapy, depends on the state and progress of the technique. With the discovery of the C60 nanomaterial, for which the Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded in 1996, and the development of nanotechnologies, new possibilities of applying light to the therapy have been created. The positive sides of the nano-molecule C60 and the developed nano-photon system for generic hyperpolarized light (HP) were used. Thus, instead of the classic filter (which blinks UV radiation), a new “filter” based on nano-photon material is made. The active nano-photon material (molecule C60) is a spherical shape, consisting of 60 carbon atoms, which are 1 nm spherical, arranged in 12 pentagons and 20 hexagons (icosahedral symmetry). This molecule (C60) rotates at a rate of 1010 per second and unlike the previous one with a denominative internal structure. Based on the Poincar’s sphere of light and the Bloch sphere on the quantum superposition of electrons, incoming linearly polarized photons from BIOPTRON interact with rotating C60 molecules, which has 46 vibrating frequencies of very low energies from 0.035 eV to 0.340 eV (3.500-40.000 nm).
