IFIA & KIPA MOU Signing Ceremony
Geneva, April 14 – Pursuant to Memorandum of Understanding signed by the President of International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), Alireza Rastegar and Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA), Lee Joon Seok, the exiting cooperation between the parties is boosted by exchanging information in all technical areas of mutual interest.
The Parties intend to closely cooperate on intellectual property transfer matters by supporting inventors to promote utilization of intellectual property in both regional and international level.
KIPA and IFIA have endorsed an agreement to conduct joint activities including exhibitions, conferences, seminars, symposia or lectures in order to promote intellectual property.
The parties also plan to train and develop the skills of human resources through exchanging programs and other pertinent activities. Moreover, KIPA’s role as IFIA Technology Transfer Center in the Republic of Korea is entered into force following the signature of this MOU.
The Parties are further meaning to culture and foster close friendship between the two organizations on the basis of principles of mutual benefit and equality; Have agreed as follows:
(a) The exchange of the information in relation to intellectual property area
(b) The promotion of intellectual property and intellectual property transfer through joint activities, including exhibitions, conferences, seminars, symposia or lectures
(c) The cooperation between KIPA and IFIA on supporting KIPA’s role as IFIA Technology Transfer Secretariat’s Technology Transfer Office for the Republic of Korea and on related intellectual property transfer matters
(d) The cooperation in the fields of training and skills development of human resources through exchange programs & other pertinent activities
