INPEX 2017 Report
The 32nd annual of InventHelp’s Invention & New Product Exposition (INPEX), recognized as IFIA Official Event, was held during June 13-15, 2017 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. INPEX, America’s Largest Invention Show, featured 240 inventions from 18 countries including Australia, Canada, Chile, China, China-Taipei, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, India, Iran, Korea, Malaysia, Morocco, Poland, Romania, Thailand and the United Kingdom.
InventHelp’s INPEX is a unique trade show experience that brings inventors together with companies looking for new products in one easily accessible location. This year, the show also featured private product searches, where inventors could present their ideas to large Fortune 100 and 500 companies who were looking to expand their product lines. In 2015, INPEX debuted VIBE, or Virtual Invention Browsing Experience. This exciting technology gives business attendees the ability to utilize large, state-of-the-art virtual viewing stations to review inventions from InventHelp clients.
Gold medals were presented in 45 categories including wellness/fitness, hardware/tools, and automotive/transportation products. Merit awards and several special awards were also conferred. Each invention was judged by an independent International Jury Committee, and for INPEX 2017, the Grand Prix winner ($7,500 cash prize) is:
Hyndsight Journey, invented by Melissa Thompson, of Peterborough, NH – A wire-free camera and monitor system that requires no wires, no internet and no installation – giving it the ability to be used virtually anywhere! It has a broadcasting range of up to 1/3-mile, and is waterproof, rugged and durable, perfect for using outdoors. Because there are no wires, the camera can be moved easily from one location to the other.
