These topics will be discussed:

- How to block chain capture and protect innovation as ideas occur
- Globally sourcing expertise and technology; and finding licensees
- Secure collaboration
- Guidance on simple, inexpensive IP best practices
- Globally commercializing intellectual assets
- Protecting innovation from theft and neglect
- Regulatory reporting (such as iEdison) compliance made easy
Subsequent sessions will cover: marketing intellectual property, valuation, cyber security, trade secret versus patent, and more!
Who should attend: This series of webinars is intended as an introduction for innovators and technology transfer personnel who wish to understand how to take advantage of ingenuity, not only for individual benefit but also for the benefit of society as a whole. All disciplines are encouraged to attend as the principles discussed apply to innovation in all sectors. For researchers, your intellectual assets are usually your most valuable assets. For technology transfer and commercialization personnel, intellectual assets are among the most difficult to manage profitably. Statistics show that less than 1% will ever be commercialized. We suggest ways that all of us can greatly improve these odds and provide you with guidance on best practices in managing this enormously valuable asset class.
Keywords: intellectual property, commercialise, monetise, cybersecurity, innovation, regulatory compliance.
Presenter: The sessions will be conducted by J. Douglas Graham, CEO of Ideation. Douglas is a former MD/KPMG and has led an $8.5B bank. He led technology projects which now account for billions in revenues and resulted in a Gartner award. An inventor on five patents, one has earned 260+ citations; author of two books for Wiley, IDEATION: The Birth & Death of Ideas, well reviewed by Carl Icahn and Lee Iacocca; speaks on Innovation Management around the world: US Chambers of Commerce, US Congress, Brookings Institution, The State of the World Forum, and Salzburg Global Seminar. Doug’s achievements are many; the most recent facilitates global collaboration in intellectual property. He solved the problem of why intellectual assets are stolen, underfunded, poorly managed, and hardly traded, and he has enabled them to be THE economic opportunity of the next decades. Ideation is complex software with multiple modules to block chain capture, source, protect, value, and market intellectual assets, with absolute cyber security in a trusted global community.
