SEED: IP Education
SEED project aims to spread the Intellectual Property (IP) education and ultimately create economy power through the invention and IP. Literally like ‘seed’, it’s like planting seeds to participants and teaching them how to cultivate it. We try to focus on the social vulnerable class who doesn’t have enough economic opportunity relatively. Also, by providing IP and invention education to the developing countries, WWIEA contributes to decrease the IP gap between countries. As SEED project which is arranged by WWIEA is also in cooperation with World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), we have public confidence and professionalism in the IP field.
First SEED project was held from Dec.2 to Dec.13, in Seoul, Korea. We invited Central Asian women from government officials to entrepreneurs. This project aims to educate the participants about ‘4I’ (Idea, Invention, Innovation, Intellectual Property) and also help them to spread this ‘4I’ in their countries. The main purpose of the SEED project is education, but this project was a really good chance to introduce the excellence of Korean culture and economy development to Central Asian countries.
