Inventors and Innovators Association of Zambia aims to become the vehicle for promoting employment and economic growth through assisting (marginalized) inventors and innovators to bring them into the mainstream economy.
IIZA is recognized that invention and innovation is the basis for economic and social progress in general and industrialization in particular and that a need exists in Zambia to organize inventors and innovators to mobilize financial and material resources that will ensure the commercialization of inventions and innovations.

The creation of the Inventors and Innovators Association will inspire many Zambians to recognize and observe the Intellectual Property Rights of inventor and innovators that bring social and economic development.
The other objective envisaged for IIAZ is to help or complement efforts by government agencies mandated to promote innovation and protect Intellectual Property Rights and to raise funds for commercialization of their innovation and inventions.
IIAZ also assists in registering IP rights of inventors and innovators and will have a governing system mandated to carry out the assigned duties as agreed by the general membership.
IIAZ is established on terms and conditions detailed in this constitution for the purpose of promoting the interests and well-being of beneficiaries and that of the Republic of Zambia.
