Idaho State Implementation Committee:

What does the Idaho SFI Implementation Committee do?

The Idaho SFI Implementation Committee (SIC) works at the local level to promote the SFI Standard as a means to broaden the practice of sustainable forestry and ensure on-the-ground progress in Idaho. SFI program participants provide leadership and invite a wide range of stakeholders to contribute — private landowners, independent loggers, consultants, government land managers, legislators, university scientists, and conservationists. These resource professionals volunteer a significant amount of time to assure that national SFI program objectives are consistently implemented and adapted to region-specific needs.
