IFIA AMERICAN LATIN OFFICE ACTIVITY REPORT, INNOVACITIES HALL 2020
From December 3rd to 4th, 2020, ABIPIR held the INNOVACITIES – Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability Show for Cheerful, Creative Human and Smart Cities, at the Rafain Palace Convention Center, in the city of Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, Brazil.
At the invitation of the organization of the second-largest tourism event in Brazil, we were present with our partners at the 15th edition of the Festival of the Falls: Uniamérica University Center, ADIRI – Development Agency and Integration of the Region of Itaipu, Sol Pedras Group, Rotary Club de Foz do Iguaçu Itaipu Trinacional, Rotary Means Businnes Fellowship – Paraguay Chapter, De Angeli Eventos e Empreendimentos, and International Climate Resilient Research and Development Network. We leave here our thanks to the Festival of the Falls for the warm welcome to ABIPIR in this fundamental event in Foz do Iguaçu, the destination of the world.
Mixing virtual events and face-to-face exhibitions, we count on the participation of specialists from Guatemala, England, and Brazil to debate the challenges of innovation in combating endemic social corruption; urban policies and climate-resilient development in London; the new global impact economy through BCorps; and the creative economy in Paraguay.
The purpose of this event was to continue INNOVACITIES ‘actions, in a context of profound adversity and necessary adaptation in the face of the worldwide pandemic of the new coronavirus. We marked the representation of the essential Innovation event in a year of impact for the planet. Especially, the INNOVACITIES Salon marked on Brazilian soil the beginning of a partnership to boost the territorial development of the tri-national region through Innovation and Entrepreneurship with a strong sustainability base, between ABIPIR and ADIRI, with the support of the IFIA Board for Latin America. We would like to thank all the partners who accompany us on this local journey with a global vision. Many news awaits us in 2021. Until then!”
