QA | STUDIO 5

Studio 5, an innovative Fab Lab established by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology with a mission to nurture children and young adults with technological knowledge. As a dynamic community platform, it provides cutting-edge technology and hands-on experiences, fostering problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, and innovation skills. Studio 5 empowers and inspires the next generation to become visionary technology creators.

The goal of Studio 5 is to foster innovation, imagination, and creativity through the exploration of cutting edge technologies in an inclusive and collaborative environment. Studio 5 is where formal and casual learning meets up to give the kids and youth in Qatar hands-on encounters that facilitate them to refine their thoughts, be progressively engaged with critical thinking, problem solving, and collaboration; allowing them to become future creators of technology.

To provide children and young adults in Qatar with opportunities to become ICT creators and not simply consumers of technology. Studio 5 is aimed at nurturing the kids and youth as digital learners by sharpening their learning skills, as they develop in an all-pervasive digital environment. Through this path Studio 5 is adamant on spreading the maker culture in the Qatari society.

Studio 5 started in 2018 and the project was renewed in 2023. The new name Studio 5 and branding was digitally announced on 5th of October. Studio 5 has four zones which are SOFTWARE ZONE, TECHNOLOGY ZONE, CREATIVITY ZONE, INVESTIGATION ZONE designed for the age groups 7-24 years old. The goal of Studio 5 is to foster innovation, imagination, and creativity through the exploration of cutting edge technologies in an inclusive and collaborative environment.
