Official Meeting Strengthens International Collaboration in Innovation: IFIA President and CAI Vice President Convened

[Nuremberg, Germany – October 29, 2023] – Mr. Alireza Rastegar, the President of the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), and Mr. Zhenfu He, Deputy Vice President of the China Association of Inventions (CAI), convened for a formal meeting during the 75th anniversary of the iENA International Trade Fair for Ideas, Inventions, and New Products. This pivotal meeting was held with the primary objective of discussing and expanding collaboration in the field of innovation and inventions while exploring common areas of mutual interest.

Since becoming the sole official representative from China in 1969, the China Association of Inventions (CAI) has consistently demonstrated remarkable dedication to advancing innovation and inventions on both national and international levels.

Recognizing the pivotal role of international cooperation in fostering innovation, they explored various avenues to enhance this collaboration.

• Support for Chinese Innovators: IFIA and CAI discussed ways to provide vital support to Chinese inventors across various domains, including invention, innovation, commercialization, and more. They pledged to work together to create opportunities and resources for Chinese inventors to excel on a global stage.

Moreover, it is worth mentioning that the China Association of Inventions (CAI) is a national association of China with four professional committees and 25 branches, earning the distinguished title of “the home of Chinese inventors.” Over the past 40 years, CAI has played an integral role in promoting mass invention and innovation activities, disseminating and popularizing knowledge related to invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship, discovering and nurturing inventive talents, safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of inventors, and fostering the transformation and implementation of invention achievements.

At the conclusion of the meeting, China Central Television (CCTV) conducted an official interview with President Rastegar. The interview covered a wide range of topics, including China’s impact on the international stage of inventions and innovation, the role and influence of Chinese inventors and innovators in global competitions, exhibitions, and innovation forums, and the collaborative efforts and support that IFIA aims to extend to Chinese inventors in areas such as invention, innovation, and commercialization.
