ARCA & AGRO ARCA 2018: Polisrh Wins the Grand Prix
At the National and University Library in Zagreb the gala awards ceremony marked the closing of the International Innovation Exhibition ARCA and the International Fair on Innovation in Agriculture, Food Industry and Agricultural Mechanization AGRO ARCA 2018, organized by the Croatian Association of Innovators (UIH) on 18th – 20th October, 2018.
Polisrh – a robot cell for metal deburring and polishing presented by Marko Filipović, Ph.D., from the Karlovac-based HS Produkt won the Grand Prix as the most coveted award, and the winners of ARCA and AGRO ARCA received gold, silver and bronze medals.
Over 150 innovations entered this year’s ARCA and AGRO ARCA, submitted by innovators from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, China, Iran, Poland, Serbia and Slovenia. The main theme was smart agriculture. At the Smart Agriculture – Use of New Technologies in Agriculture conference discussions took place between experts from the academic and scientific community and industry professionals.
This year’s ARCA and AGRO ARCA were supported by the Nikola Tesla Innovation Centre, University of Zagreb, National and University Library in Zagreb, Croatian Association of Technical Culture and the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) as co-organizers and sponsored by the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Science and Education. The events were co-sponsored by the Croatian Chamber of Economy and the partner was the Croatian Agency for SMEs, Innovations and Investments HAMAG-BICRO. The events’ sponsors were Končar – Elektroindustrija d.d. (general sponsor), Croatia, HS Produkt and PBZ Card.
