IFIA President Confers IFIA Gold Medal to Winfried Sturm
IFIA President, Mr. Alireza Rastegar, awarded IFIA Gold Medal to Mr. Winfried Sturm, the Manager of IFIA Youth Network and International Ambassador of Science and Education during Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF) 2017 in order to appreciate the intellectual endeavors he has undertaken to recognize and promote creativity among young students.
Aiming for consistent strengthening and development among adolescents, Mr. Sturm has organized several workshops in schools in such countries as Germany, India, South Korea, Iran, Chinese Taipei, China, Thailand, Turkey, and Ireland.
He says: “For over 40 years I’ve been involved with nature-scientific school-activities. That’s why I know the importance of an early education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). All these 4 fields of activity are the fundamentals for every nation’s future worldwide. We need engineers who are able to use their brain capability to create innovative inventions”.
Mr. Sturm holds the conviction that creativity is an inborn talent which needs to be recognized, developed, and nurtured through proper education at an early age. The students should be encouraged to think outside the box, they should be permitted to make mistakes so that the self-consciousness can be well promoted. He believes “Inexperience is a creative source that needs to be used as child-limitless potential“.
His special focus is to build a bridge between worldwide nations and their youth to overcome barriers of different culture, religion and education, to share our world in a peaceful life to overcome the worldwide challenges.
Mr. Winfried Sturm is valuable asset for IFIA due to his unconditional supports to foster invention and innovation among the young inventors around the world which is IFIA’s main mission.
