iENA 2017 Writes a New Chapter of Success Stories
The International Invention Fair iENA 2017 in Nuremberg unveiled 850 inventions from 31 countries enabling the participants to exchange knowledge, license negotiations and turn their innovations into success stories. Over 11.000 people visited iENA 2017 expressing their excitement at such outstanding display of world inventions.
Another highlight of iENA 2017 was the active presence of a plenty of entrepreneurs and investors visiting the exhibition in the search for new ideas and technologies. Several inventors had the opportunity to initiate first contract and licensing negotiations.
A distinguishing feature of this year’s iENA was the participation of a new group of visitors from the Association of German Engineers (VDI) thanks to the partnership established between VDI and iENA which helped to promote offers and potentials for inventors.
Malaysia, as partner of the iENA 2017, brought an additional strong potential for innovations to the fair. To support this partnership, the Malaysian ambassador visited the iENA fair on the last day and was impressed by the innovative power of the iENA. The ambassador was also pleased about the outstanding awards for the Malaysian innovations.
The inventors and start-ups also benefited from consulting services offered during specialist presentations and forum programs by Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA), OPEV (Austrian Association of Innovators, Patent holders and Inventors) and VDI.
For the first time in years, representatives of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy were present at the iENA and provided information on the WIPANO subsidiary program, which is pointing out what financing options and support there are.
